5 Reasons You'll LOVE it:

5 Reasons You'll HATE it:

REASON 1

There are many fantastic restaurants along the Roncesvalles strip.  From Cuban to Thai, fine dining to take out – you can find it all here.

REASON 1

The prices – you have to pay a bit more to live here….

REASON 2

The shops offer amenities you can’t find in many other places, from jewellery, candy, home decor and fashion from local designers and owners.

REASON 2

Like many of the wonderful neigbourhoods closer to downtown, it can feel dense and busy.

REASON 3

It is located blocks from High Park as well as from the Lake and Martin Goodman Trail.

REASON 3

Construction – the area has had quite a bit of construction on the major streets (Roncesvalles, Queen, Bloor) the past few years which can cause congestion and overflow into the neighbourhood streets.

REASON 4

Travelling by TTC or bike is easy here.

REASON 4

Garages and laneways are not as common here – street parking is the norm so get your parallel parking skills perfected if moving here.

REASON 5

The homes are gorgeous!

REASON 5

As the homes are older, prepare to make some investments into maintenance and updating if your home hasn’t already been updated.

Home Styles In Roncesvalles

The home styles here are the same as High Park and High Park North.  The neighbourhoods blend into one another with long winding streets.  The streetscapes are identical, as is the architecture.

01.

First

Detached homes, with their larger lots, are sights to be seen here. With most having 3 floors, their  historical charm is  magnificent.

02.

Semi Detached

There are many beautiful semi detached homes in the neighbourhood. Similar to High Park, these homes can be quite large and up to 3 floors above ground.

03.

Condos

There has been an investment in condominium development in the neighbourhood over the past 10 years, which has completely transformed parts of the neighbourhood.  You can expect further investment in the coming years with more units slated to be added in the north end of Roncesvalles.
